The Story
The story takes place in England most of the time but also in Ireland at the end.
The Book is about a girl called Stephanie she is twelve years old. One day her uncle died and when he did die he had written in his testament that his house is going to belong to Stephanie and that's the key to a whole new world with trolls, magic, skeletons, fights between life and death.
The characters
Stephanie and Skulduggery are the main characters ,Stephanie only twelve years old with black hair, she is a pretty mysterious girl. She has problems to trust people but one person is she telling everything to and trust all of her heart on and that's Skulduggery he is the person that Stephanie trusts the most and he is a living and speaking skeleton who can make fire out of his hands and he has a big reason to fight against the bad guys and because of that his personal connection to Stephanie develops and he is prepared to give up everything for her even his one life.
The setting
I think the writer did describe it well he had many details and he makes me get pictures in my head to guess how it looks.
This message
The message of the book I think can be that it's okay to have fantasy, almost everything in this book is about magic or very weird characters.
My opinion
My opinion on the book is that it’s a good book a little bit hard sometimes to understand some words but when you read the whole sentence you can try to guess based on which situation it’s in. I appreciate that the book is very much fantasy in it because then you can decide how you things place like for example if the author has written something about a room with some details you can picture how the room looks and the author has described very much details which makes the book more interesting to read. I didn't like that the book in the middle was a little bit boring around 4 chapters but when you had read them and started to come to the end the book gets more excited. This book I would recommend to a person with a good vocabulary and someone with a bit of fantasy. The end was as a expected so I didn't get very surprised but it was a good end and a good book
