Boktipzet

Idag jobbar jag min sista dag på Järvenskolan Tallås efter fem och ett halvt år. Imorgon börjar nya utmaningar på biblioteket på Linköpings universitet. Det känns häftigt, vemodigt, sorgligt och roligt - allt samtidigt! Det har varit så kul att jobba med lärarna och eleverna under de här åren, att lära känna eleverna, se alla växa och utvecklas. Vi har haft författarbesök, biblioteksråd, bokprat och hur mycket grejer som helst att jobba med. Utmaningar har funnits, men de har vi överkommit. Jag tar med mig så mycket glädje från den här skolan! En ersättare börjar efter midsommar, så biblioteket kommer att klara sig utmärkt! //Björn

Angel of Venice ​by Mary Hoffman Angel of Venice is a novel published first in 2014. It's not a part of a series, it's only 95 pages long so it's very easy to read. They don't describe the characters looks so much, but you can see on the front page how Luca and Fina look. Luca is a 16 year old boy, with ginger hair. He is not a muscular boy, he is narrow comparing to other boys in the same age. Fina is Luca’s neighbour and she is around the same age as Luca. She has dark hair and is also narrow. Angelina is Luca`s dream girl. He thinks that she looks like an angel. The book takes place in year 1571. In the city Venice. Venice is a large Harbour city in Italy. It’s famous because they have rivers running thru the city which the residents use as streets now days. The city was a important town in the war because they make many big war galleys. The book starts out on the shipyard with Luca explaining his work as a cleaner. His father and older brothers work as carpenters

Angel of Venice​ by Mary Hoffman The book is an adventure book, because they are traveling around with a ship on their way to war. It was first published in 2014. The book is not included in a series and the book have 95 sides. Luca is the main character and he is a sixteen year old boy. Luca works at the shipyard with collecting wood shavings from the older workers and carries the wood shaving to the blacksmiths. He lives in a poor family with his mom, dad and two older brothers. Angelina is sixteen years old and the big love in Luca`s life. Angelina is in a rich family that lives in the rich part of the city. Her brother doesn't like Luca, but Angelina and Luca are trying to meet anyway. Nico is Luca ́s best friend is the same age as Luca, that will be sixteen, he works at the same place as Nico. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead American author Richelle Mead is the creator behind the international #1 bestselling Vampire Academy series. She was born in Michigan, but now lives in Seattle,Washington, where she is working on her next novel. Growing up Richelle always read and had a particular fascination with mythology and folklore. Which is probably where the idea of vampire academy came from. The book is about Lissa and Rose, two girls enrolled in an academy for moroi vampires and dhampirs. Moroi are royal vampires that can harness the earth's elements and are protected by their guardians (dhampirs). Dhampirs have a powerful mix of human and vampire blood and therefore are much stronger and faster than the moroi. This makes them suitable guardians for moroi. Lissa is a moroi princess and Rose is her guardian-to-be/best friend. Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher I have read the book “Never Never”  written by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher. I have previously read other books published by Hoover, and have admired her work for quite some time which is why I chose to read this book. Never Never is part one in a fiction trilogy series and was first published January 2015. Colleen Hoover is a Texas born American author of fifteen published works that all fall into categories like New adult and Young adult. The majority of her books have reached the New York Times bestseller list and earned her several awards, making her an acclaimed author with good critics under her wing. Two of her works have made it in the film industry with Confess expected to air as a series this spring, and Ugly love to begin filming later this year. Hoover is also the founder of the Bookworm Box, a subscription that lets readers receive autographed books whilst the profits are donated to various of charities. Tarryn

Book review of Angel of Venice by Mary Hoffman The book was first published in 2014 in Great Britain. The Angel of Venice has got 97 pages of text and 15 chapters and it’s not in a series. The genres of the book are romantic, adventure and history. The story in the book takes place in the 16th century, in the country of Italy and the city of Venice. The main characters in the book are Luca, Fina and Nico. Luca is the most important main character because he's the one you will be following in the book. Nico and Fina are Lucas´ friends. Angelina is also a bit of a main character because she’s the one that Luca gets in love with. But he doesn’t meet her that much that we would call her a main character. It starts with Luca working at the shipyard and he is very curious about the war. He asks his father questions all the time. One ordinary day he meets Angelina in the street. Luca starts to give her food and talk to her and then he went away with a boat to fight. Luca is 16 years ol

Äntligen, säger jag bara! Del 5 i serien Varelserna har kommit ut. Magnus Nordins serie om ett zombiesmittat Gotland tar ny fart i Fredlös . De odöda, som kallas "döingar" eller "fulingar", verkar mer eller mindre ha försvunnit från Gotland, men ingen kan ta sig därifrån ändå. Det har blivit gängbildning och maten börjar ta slut. Robin och Mirre, som är två av dem som klarat sig igenom allt, upptäcker en dag skepp på väg mot Gotland. Det verkar som attde odöda börjat sprida sig även på fastlandet och nu är det många som försöker söka skydd på Gotland. Det delar ungdomarna där - kan de hjälpa alla eller borde de låta bli, eftersom de inte har mat eller vatten själva? Den här boken håller stilen från föregående delar i serien. De odöda verkar aldrig ta slut och riskerar alltid att bli någons död. Lägg till de som flytt från fastlandet och slitningarna som blir i de grupper som redan finns på Gotland, så har vi en riktigt spännande, välskriven fortsättning på Varels

Jag har precis läst ut en bok som låg i den senaste beställningskartongen. Boken heter Bortförd och är första delen i serien "S som i skräck". Den är skriven av Ewa Christina Johansson, som också skrivit serien som inleddes med Tavlans hemlighet . Boken handlar om Saga och Sigrid. De är två kompisar som bor grannar. De bor såpass nära varndra att Saga kan se in i Sigrids sovrum. Hon ser en kväll att Sigrid sitter klistrad vid datorn och spelar online-spelet "S som i Skräck", ett spel där spelaren ska fly från zombies, vampyrer och andra bestar. De börjar sms:a med varandra under tiden. När Saga tittar bort en kort sekund försvinner Sigrid spårlöst. Saga ser inte var hon har tagit vägen. Senare kommer Sigrids mamma och säger att Sigrid är försvunnen. Men var tog hon vägen? Jag gillade den här boken! Den är lagom lång, skönt lättläst och har en riktigt bra story. Den här serien kommer jag verkligen att hålla koll på. //Björn

Nobody is ever missing by Catherine Lacey The book is a realistic fiction which came out in 2014 and takes place in New York and New Zealand. It’s written in presence in the perspective of the main character. The book has been praised by many news articles and has also won some prizes like ”Late Night Library Debutlizer”. ’’Nobody is ever missing’’ is about Elyria and her unraveling marriage with her husband. She decides one day that this is not what she wants so she packs her bags and takes a flight to New Zealand where her journey to find herself begins. Neither her husband nor her family knows why she's left or if she’s coming back. The main character is Elyria, she is a 29 year old woman who’s quite skinny and has long uncontrollable brown hair. We don’t get to read much about other characters since they are only in small parts of the story. We do get to read some about her alcoholic mother who never took good care of her or her sister Ruby. We learn that Ruby commited suici

Den jag är är en rätt kort, lättläst bok av den kanadensiske författaren Lesley Choyce. Den handlar om Simon, som inte mår så bra vare sig i skolan eller hemma. I skolan finns de som bråkar med honom, hemma bråkar föräldrarna istället. En dag möter han Gabriella, eller Gabbe som hon vill bli kallad, och det börjar umgås. Gabbe får Simon att känna sig bättre till mods och mer säker på sig själv. Dessutom hjälper hon honom att plugga, vilket han inte brukar göra annars. Gabbe har dock sina egna problem. Hon ser inte ut och beter sig inte som många tycker att en tjej "ska" göra och blir hotad för det. Hennes föräldrar är frågande över hur hon klär sig och beter sig, men hon känner att hon är den hon vill vara. När flera hot börjar dyka upp måste de tillsammans försöka hitta en lösning på det. Det här är en bok med mycket att diskutera kring. Mycket av hur karaktärerna i boken är kommer fram genom dialog, när de pratar med varandra. Det tycker jag fungerar bra i den här boke
